The main purpose of the filter press is filtration, which is a small category under general machinery. Filtration and separation machinery has a wide range of applications and is very versatile. It is mainly used for the separation and purification of solid-liquid, liquid-liquid, gas-liquid and gas-solid substances, among which solid-liquid separation accounts for a larger proportion in actual applications.

The working principle of the filter press is to use a pressure pump to inject the suspended liquid slurry into multiple closed filter chambers formed by multiple vertically arranged filter plates under the pressure of the hydraulic system, so that a pressure difference is formed on both sides of the filter cloth. The liquid in the filter chamber passes through the filter cloth adjacent to the filter plate and is discharged out of the filter press along the filtrate confluence channel. The dehydrated solid impurities are retained in the filter chamber to form a filter cake. The adjacent filter plates are separated by a plate pulling machine, and the filter cake in each filter chamber falls off under the action of gravity or a vibration device to achieve separation of the solid phase and the liquid phase.

In industries such as coal washing, ore dressing, and brewing, where filter press products are mature and the requirements for filtering effects are relatively simple, customers mostly target filter presses and accessories, and product prices become the main means of competition.

In emerging sub-application industries of filter presses such as sewage sludge treatment, emerging chemicals, and sugar making, the filtration materials are more complex and the requirements for filtration are more stringent. Technology, product quality, and brand have become key factors for customers to consider.

In the past decade, my country's own-brand filter press manufacturers have developed rapidly, and have made great progress in technology, quality, and service, and have become comparable to international brand companies.

Domestic independent brand filter presses are increasingly favored by customers with their high cost-effectiveness. While surpassing imported brands in the domestic high-end market share, they are more competitive in the international market.
